● Hydraulic home elevators

A hydraulic home elevator is an elevator driven by a hydraulic power source. It directly or indirectly drives the car to move by pressing oil into the cylinder to make the plunger move linearly. The following is a detailed introduction:
Working principle: When the elevator goes up, the hydraulic pump station provides a power pressure difference, and the valve group in the hydraulic system controls the flow of hydraulic oil in the pump. The hydraulic oil enters the oil chamber in the cylinder and pushes the plunger in the hydraulic cylinder to lift the car. When the elevator goes down, open the valve group and use the pressure difference caused by the weight of the car to return the hydraulic oil to the hydraulic oil tank to realize the elevator down. The down speed is controlled by the opening size of the valve group in the hydraulic system.
System composition: It is mainly composed of a pump station system, a hydraulic control system, a hydraulic cylinder and a support system, a guide system, a car, a door system, an electrical control system, and a safety protection system. Among them, the pump station system provides a power source for the hydraulic cylinder; the hydraulic control system controls the running speed and start and stop of the elevator; the hydraulic cylinder drives the car to move; the guide system limits the freedom of movement of the car; the car is used to transport passengers or goods; the door system controls the opening and closing of the floor station and the car entrance; the electrical control system coordinates the work of various components; and the safety protection system ensures the safe operation of the elevator.
Type: According to the connection method between the car and the hydraulic cylinder, it can be divided into two types: direct top type and side top type. The direct top type is to directly act on the car or car frame. The car structure is simple and the hoistway space is small, but a deeper vertical pit is required for the hydraulic cylinder. The side top type is to connect the plunger to the car frame through a suspension device. It does not require a vertical pit, but it needs to be equipped with a speed limiter and a safety clamp device. The required hoistway space is larger than the direct top type.
● Traction home elevators

Traction home elevator is a common type of home elevator. It uses a motor to drive a wire rope or belt to pull the car for vertical transportation.
Working principle: The elevator is driven by the friction between the wire rope and the traction wheel, relying on the traction force generated by the traction machine. The car and the counterweight are connected by a wire rope, like the two ends of a seesaw, and move up and down under the drive of the motor. The motor only needs to provide a small amount of force to balance the weight of the car.
Type:
① Gantry type: driven by a permanent magnet synchronous gearless traction machine, stable operation is achieved through the lever balancing effect of the counterweight. The guide rails are located on both sides of the car, with uniform force, and there are two structures: side counterweight and rear counterweight. Its technology is mature, the operation is stable, the power consumption is low, and the speed is fast, but there is a counterweight and it occupies a large area.
② Backpack type: The two car guide rails are located on the same side of the car, which can save the space occupied by the guide rails on one side. The total area of the car can be slightly larger, and the door can be opened at 90 degrees or even fully opened on three sides, with low requirements for the building structure. However, since the guide rail is only on one side, long-term operation can easily cause problems such as large wear of the guide shoes, unstable operation, and abnormal noise.
③ Strong drive type: It is also a type of traction home elevator, but there is relatively little relevant information. Its principle is also based on traction drive and is used in some specific scenarios.
System composition: It is generally composed of motors, reducers, brakes, guide rails, and cars. The motor drives the reducer, which runs up and down through a wire rope or belt to pull the car up and down. The brake device can quickly stop the elevator in an emergency to ensure safety.
